Lesson 31. Plural: feminine gender
The main rule: -a → -e
For feminine words everything is simple: the ending -a changes to -e.
| One | Many | Translation |
|---|---|---|
mama | **mame** | mom → moms |
sestra | **sestre** | sister → sisters |
knjiga | **knjige** | book → books |
škola | **škole** | school → schools |
jabuka | **jabuke** | apple → apples |
soba | **sobe** | room → rooms |

stvar → stvari (ствар → ствари)
— thing → things
