Lesson 55 · Part 5

Lesson 55. Accusative: Neuter Gender

The Main Rule

Vidim more. (Видим море.)
— I see the sea.
Pijem mleko. (Пијем млеко.)
— I drink milk.
Jedem meso. (Једем месо.)
— I eat meat.
Volim leto. (Волим лето.)
— I love summer.
Gledam nebo. (Гледам небо.)
— I look at the sky.

”Growing” Words

dete, pile, jagnje in the accusative singular — the same as nominative:

Vidim dete. (Видим дете.)
— I see the child.
Imam pile. (Имам пиле.)
— I have a chick.

In the oblique cases (genitive, dative, and others) they “grow”: deteta, detetu, detetom…, but that comes later.
