Lesson 57. Accusative Plural: Masculine

Rule

gradovi → gradove (градови → градове)
— cities (nom.) → cities (acc.)
stolovi → stolove (столови → столове)
— tables → tables
prozori → prozore (прозори → прозоре)
— windows → windows
psi → pse (пси → псе)
— dogs → dogs
učenici → učenike (ученици → ученике)
— students → students

Examples

Vidim gradove. (Видим градове.)
— I see cities.
Volim pse i konje. (Волим псе и коње.)
— I love dogs and horses.
Imamo studente iz Rusije. (Имамо студенте из Русије.)
— We have students from Russia.

Special Words

braća → braću (браћа → браћу)
— brothers (grammatically feminine!)
ljudi → ljude (људи → људе)
— people → people

braća behaves like feminine singular, so in the accusative it becomes braću (like feminine -a → -u).
