Lesson 144. Aorist: Introduction
The aorist (aorist) is a special past tense, usually formed from perfective verbs. In modern Serbian you’ll meet it in literature, fairy tales, and in the everyday speech of Montenegro.
Dođoh u grad. (Дођох у град.)
— I came to the city.
On stiže. (Он стиже.)
— He arrived. (aorist, not present!)
Ona reče. (Она рече.)
— She said.
